Ashlyn & Dominic | Sawtooth Botanical Gardens | Ketchum, Idaho

Ashlyn and Dominic’s wedding at Sawtooth Botanical Gardens in Ketchum, Idaho, was nothing short of magical. Nestled in the heart of the Wood River Valley, the gardens provided a breathtaking backdrop for their special day. With vibrant wildflowers, lush greenery, and the tranquil sound of running water from the garden’s meandering stream, it was a dreamlike setting. Guests were surrounded by the stunning natural beauty of the Sawtooth Mountains.

Following the heartfelt ceremony, guests gathered in the beautifully landscaped garden space for a lively reception. The open setting allowed everyone to take in the views while celebrating under twinkling string lights. Ashlyn and Dominic’s wedding at Sawtooth Botanical Gardens was a perfect fusion of nature & elegance.

We assisted Ashlyn in finding the perfect fit for her wedding dress alterations. She had a beaded fit and flare wedding dress that needed taken in with lace applique hem, strap adjustment, and bustle. We also helped her tie in her bridal look with a simple short elbow length cascade veil. For Dominic we paired together his groom look with a special order black bow tie and wing tipped white shirt to compliment his white tuxedo with black lapel. This was a project we will treasure! We are thankful to be a part of such a special day for Ashlyn and Dominic. Congrats you two!

Two Ways to Save with a Custom Wedding Gown

Blackbird Photography

Custom gowns can compare if not cost more than a gown bought at a bridal salon. This is due to the cost to build the pattern made specifically to your measurements and small batch fabric hand selected to fit your vision. However, there are ways that custom gowns can help you save!

  1. Some small business dressmakers such as us include other bridal services in their packages. We include wedding gown preservation and discounted accessories.
  2. No restyling needed! You get to choose the silhouette, neckline, back line, sleeves, fabric layering, and embellishments. Since you won’t need to make any changes to your gown, you will save on finishing touches for alterations.

All in all, if you like the idea of bringing your bridal vision to life, but can’t seem to find the right dress, a custom gown can help you save. Wedding gown preservation and cleaning can also cost up to $400, so that’s huge savings as well!

If you’re looking for a custom wedding dress, there’s no better time to start brainstorming than now! Text us to get started 208-696-1155. We are shipping in the US and Canada.

Monet + Trinity | Wallowa Lake Wedding

Bride Monet brought her stunning Enzoani wedding dress to us in need of alterations for her wedding day. With a few adjustments to the bodice, straps, and multilayered hemline, we found the right fit.

I love seeing how everything came together for their big day! Wallowa Lake certainly has my heart since my home town isn’t too far from there.

Monet and Trinity’s wedding at Wallowa Lake was a celebration that beautifully intertwined with the backdrop of the majestic Wallowa Mountains.

The Venue: Wallowa Lake Lodge

The couple chose the historic Wallowa Lake Lodge as their venue, a decision that added a layer of timeless charm to their celebration. Established in 1923, the lodge has been a landmark in Wallowa County, offering a blend of rustic elegance and modern comfort. Its towering pines, crystal-clear waters, and tranquil atmosphere provided an unforgettable setting for Monet and Trinity’s wedding.

The lodge’s property, encompassing the main lodge and surrounding cabins, allowed for exclusive access, ensuring privacy and a personalized experience for the couple and their guests. The natural beauty of the area, with the Wallowa Mountains serving as a dramatic backdrop, enhanced the romantic ambiance of the occasion.

Ceremony Details

The ceremony took place outdoors, with the couple exchanging vows under a rustic arch adorned with local flora. The simplicity of the décor allowed the natural surroundings to take center stage, creating a serene and heartfelt atmosphere. Guests were seated on wooden benches, their views framed by the towering pines and the shimmering waters of Wallowa Lake.

Photography and Videography

Capturing the essence of the day was entrusted to a local photographer known for their ability to blend natural landscapes with intimate moments. The resulting images showcased not only the couple’s love but also the breathtaking scenery that defined their wedding day. From candid shots under the towering pines to posed portraits by the lake’s edge, each photograph told a story of love, nature, and community.

Conclusion

Monet and Trinity’s wedding at Wallowa Lake Lodge was a testament to the beauty of combining personal history with natural splendor. The choice of venue, thoughtful details, and the surrounding landscape came together to create a celebration that was both intimate and grand. For couples seeking a wedding destination that offers rustic elegance amidst breathtaking scenery, Wallowa Lake Lodge stands as an inspiring example.

We are beyond excited for all the creative wedding dress designs we are working on this year! See below our top five professional wedding dress designing tips for designing your own wedding dress with us!

1. Narrow down your complete bridal look before your first design meeting.

Be sure to have your complete look in mind prior to your first meeting. Utilize Pinterest, wedding magazines, or Google images for inspiration. When you pin or print your inspirational photos write a caption with description of which feature you loved about your dress.

2. Have a budget in mind for both your dress and alterations.

While we include alterations in custom dresses for our local clients, if you are long distance you will need a separate budget for alterations local to you.

3. Trust the process!

Once you’ve booked your custom wedding dress, trust the process! It’s so hard to wait, but just like in the shop, all good things take time. Gown production can take 6-9 months.

4. Select shoes of the same height before your try on.

While you might not have the right vision for your accessories, shoes are the most important for a first fitting. Be sure to check return policies with the boutique you order from.

5. Have a selection of undergarment options ready for try on.

We have a selection undergarments we can special order for you. Be sure to inquire this at your time of measurements and fabric selection. Most cases dresses are created with enough support to avoid the need for undergarments. However, it is important to keep this option in mind.

We hope this helps you with your custom wedding dress design process! As always, feel free to reach out via text if you have any questions: 208-696-1155
